Getting a good result
What to send
- Send the floor plan too. A photo plus a plan gets you an inside that matches the real building rather than a plausible invention. This is the single thing that turns it from a picture into a sales tool.
- Say the number of storeys. Windows are a bad guide — a tall ground floor reads as two from the street.
- Keep the facade honest. “Do not change the outside” is worth saying out loud if the image is going in a listing.

What is this actually for?
Property listings and architecture presentations, mostly. A photo shows the outside and a floor plan shows the inside, and most people cannot hold the two together in their head. One picture that does both is easier to look at than either.
Does the inside match the real building?
Not unless you tell it. Left to itself it invents a plausible interior for a building of that shape and age. Send the floor plan along with the photo and ask it to follow the plan, and it will get much closer.
Can it do interiors on their own?
Yes — send a room and ask for it staged, cleared, or in a different style. The cutaway is the version that keeps the outside in shot as well.
Is the result honest enough to publish?
The facade is, since that is a photograph of a real building lightly rebuilt. The interior is a drawing unless you supplied the plan, so label it as an illustration in a listing rather than as a photograph.
