- Fill the frame. Crop out the table and the album page — the more of the picture is the picture, the more detail survives.
- Avoid glare. Tilt the print slightly rather than shooting straight down at a lamp.
- Send one at a time if the damage is different on each. Several at once works, but the instruction applies to all of them.

Can it fix a photo with a piece missing?
Usually. It fills the gap with what the rest of the photo suggests should be there. That is a plausible reconstruction, not the real thing — if the missing piece was somebody's face, treat the result as a drawing rather than a record.
Will it change what my relatives looked like?
It tries not to, and it works from what is in the photo. Faces that are badly damaged or very small come back least reliably, so check the result against your memory of the person.
Does it work on black and white photos?
Yes, both ways. It can repair the damage and leave it black and white, or add natural colour. Say which you want — by default it keeps the original look.
What do I get back?
